Collaborative funding efforts
Donors Forum of South Florida owes
its existence to a collaboration of funders who saw a need
to share best practices and improve professionalism among area
grantmakers.
C-ONE
Following a needs assessment
conducted by Donors Forum, members came together to create
the Center on Nonprofit Effectiveness to provide management
assistance to nonprofits in Miami-Dade.
Palm Beach Hurricane Recovery
Initiative
Following
the 2004 and 2005 hurricanes that affected this area, Donors
Forum assisted a funding collaborative that formed in
order to provide short and long term relief funding to nonprofits
that provided needed services.
Prosperity
Campaign
This wealth-building
initiative based on helping low-income workers claim the earned-income
tax credit started in Miami-Dade County and spread to Palm
Beach and Broward Counties through Donors Forum members.
