Building Community Resilience Grant

Donors Forum of South Florida is working as a regranting partner of the American Red Cross to provide a one-time funding opportunity to Florida nonprofits to help address the long-term mental health needs of families and communities affected by Hurricanes Wilma and Katrina.

Thank you to all the organizations that submitted grant applications for the Building Community Resilience program. Donors Forum received $2.3 million in funding requests and was able to award a total of $520,000 to the following organizations through this program.

• Anchors Aweigh, Key West
• Care Center for Mental Health, Key West
• Jewish Family Service of Broward, Plantation
• Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County (a collaborative effort with MorseLife and Ferd and Gladys Alpert Jewish Family and Children's Services), West Palm Beach
• Victim Services Center, Miami
