Friends of Donors Forum receive the following benefits and services:
Networking and Educational Opportunities
- Free annual workshop on trends in grantmaking (offered in person and via webinar)
- Free annual workshop between funders and Friends to discuss issues affecting South Florida's nonprofit sector
- Special Friends workshop and networking reception at our annual Making Connections Spring Philanthropy Conference (conference fee not included in Friends Annual Fee)
- Advance notice for all year-round events at which non-grantmakers can participate
Year-Round Connections
- Access to a special Friends online community -- includes discussion boards to connect with funders, nonprofit thought leaders and other Friends; a resource library; and a community news section including upcoming funding RFPs and recent funding awarded (available as of June 2011)
Funding and Community Resources
- Complimentary subscription to South Florida Funding News, an
e-newsletter detailing what's happening in the region’s funding community - distributed six times per year
- Complimentary subscription to Spotlight South Florida, a weekly news digest of top community issues affecting South Florida as reported in existing media outlets
- Free annual subscription to Profiles, an online database of approximately 200 funders active in South Florida
- Free copies of local annual funder surveys compiled by Donors Forum (e.g., "Annual Funders Economic Forecast")
- Free access to national philanthropy reports including stats/trends in grantmaking and community issue-specific briefings that are traditionally not available to non-grantmakers
